My feeling about NWOG (holding 40,000K long) is that two things present themselves as possibilities:
(1) it's all a Russian scam sort of like those e-mails out of Nigeria.
(2) This is still in all reality a tiny little oil interest (Dare we call it a full fledged company yet?) that has yet to produce dollar one.
I choose to think that later and that NWOG is legit all the way but still extremely risky as they have produced PRs ad nauseum but not one single ruble/euro/dollar/riyad (as far as I can tell.) Will it go lower? I thought .06 was the bottom a few months ago.
In any event, I am optimistic but cautiously so. It is clear that the management is a little shaky and unwise about PR and its effect on stock NAV, but I am in and staying in for big returns. Let's not fool ourselves, this could take a few years.
Question: Anybody going to Russia anytime soon to check out the office first person. Now that would inspire some confidence!!
Best to NWOG longs and to our wonderful mothers.
