Since you pulled those quotes from the TS site, then you also know it was part of a broader dialogue (s)he and I were having. In a nutshell, they made a broad-brush statement that EP didn’t do everything that was claimed and I challenged it. If they’d said, “In my opinion, EP cannot do everything that is claimed” that would have been one thing, but they didn’t do that – they presented their claim as an absolute fact. I asked for proof and they came back with an attempt to set themselves up as a self-styled expert in the plastics arena, which is hardly the “proof” I was looking for and the readers deserved.

Their logic was pretty much along the lines of, “if it didn’t work in the past (conductive polymers) then it cannot be expected to work in the present,” which is pretty faulty logic, wouldn’t you agree? The world is full of countless THOUSANDS of technological advancements today that owe their successes (at least in part) to the trail blazed by others.
