Every transaction has a buyer and a seller. For example I buy 10,000 shares of WHKA on the other side of the trade is the MM selling short to accomidate the trade. In some cases the seller on the other side could be someone who is long WHKA with a sell limit at the ASK. Take your pick. Remember the MM has no limit to the number of shares he can go long or the number of shares he can go short. If he is working a riskless transaction a SELL of 500,000 shares at .0075 he will sell at least 500,000 shares at .008 or higher before he takes in the trade at .0075. At times they post the trade after the close so you do not know what they are doing.
