IF NIK was not profitable or barely so, there is truly a world of opportunity in front of Identa, but also it would also raise questions about how Identa can be profitable if a large competitor could not be. But again, I suspect NIK was/is profitable.
If the AH buyout has been being planned for a while, it makes sense to me that any negotiations between AH and companies AH was considering purchasing would have been suspended.
I agree that Identa is NOT yet even a gleam in BAE's eye, but I'm also sure that as the in-depth evaluations of AH are performed by BAE, Identa's name will definitely come up.
I'd have to say the AH purchase is likely eventually good news for Identa, the only way it is bad news is if BAE decides to put more muscle into NIK with the goal of crushing Identa before it grows into too large of a competitor, or BAE sells NIK and the acquiring company pursues that same tactic.
