I am STUNNED. I took a break from the boards for a couple of days and just got a call from my husband telling me the news of Rich's passing. I came on line to find out if it was really true.
Irrespective of all the accusations of wrong doings, I always liked the man. I am very sad. To all of you that were close to Rich, I will be remembering you in my prayers. I posted this from the Bhagavad Gita after Arch Cook's death. I think it's time to repost it:

"It painful to be in the world
It is painful to leave the world
It is painful to be alone amongst the many.
The road of transmigration
Is a road of pain for the traveler
