Caledonia Mining sees big profit jump in 2024; welcomes gold's move above $3,000

Caledonia Mining Corporation PLC (AIM:CMCL, NYSE-A:CMCL) chief executive Mark Learmonth talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s strong 2024 financial performance and strategic priorities following the release of its latest results. Learmonth reported a “strong end to a reasonably good year,” with annual gold production reaching approximately 78,000 ounces—within guidance—supported by favourable pricing. He stressed it had “no impact on our actual tax liabilities and tax payments.” On project development, the feasibility study for the Bilboes project has been extended to evaluate options that could significantly reduce capital costs. These include the potential to export concentrate and relocate the tailings facility, potentially lowering upfront investment needs. Exploration at both Blanket and Motapa returned positive results. Learmonth noted that the Blanket resource base has been extended, and early work at Motapa uncovered “exciting mineralisation” in new areas. Krakatoa’s antimony-gold find signals major upside

Krakatoa Resources Ltd chairman Colin Locke talked with Proactive about the company’s newly secured Zopkhito Project in Georgia, which he described as a major opportunity for investors. The project contains a JORC resource of 225,000 tonnes of high-grade antimony at 11% for 26,000 tonnes of metal, translating to a back-of-the-envelope valuation of approximately $1.30 billion based on current prices. Additionally, the project includes 7.1 million tonnes grading 3.7g/t gold for 815,000 ounces, estimated to be worth around $2.50 billion. He attributed the company’s success in securing the project to its CEO and chief technical officer, Mark Major, whose experience in high-altitude exploration was a key factor for the local vendors. The project’s location in Georgia was described as highly investor-friendly, with a 15% corporate tax rate, no native title or land access complications, and strong support for foreign investment. Locke confirmed that a maiden drilling program is scheduled to begin shortly, with Major heading to Georgia next week to prepare. Titan Mining reports record 2024 production, expands resources

Titan Mining President Rita Adiani joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s year-end results, highlighting record production and strong financial performance in 2024. The company met the upper end of its production guidance, while costs were 10% lower than the low end of its all-in sustaining cost (AISC) guidance. In Q4 2024, Titan Mining produced 21.7 million pounds of payable zinc, marking a 56% increase compared to Q4 2023. Total full-year 2024 production reached 59.5 million pounds. The company also posted Q4 revenues of $26.3 million, representing a 318% increase from Q3 2024 and a 241% increase from Q4 2023. Adiani also shared updates on the company’s mineral resource expansion, noting that Titan completed an updated mineral resource estimate and extended the mine life for ESM’s zinc operations until 2033. The updated estimate reports a 22% increase in measured and indicated contained zinc pounds compared to the 2020 resource estimate. In addition to its zinc operations, Titan completed a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Kilbourne Graphite Project. Tolu Minerals CEO reveals 8 new targets at Mt Pence and talks initial gold production at Tolukuma

Tolu Minerals Ltd CEO Iain Macpherson talked with Proactive about the company’s initial gold production at the Tolukuma Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea. While not commercial output yet, Macpherson explained that gold from commissioning demonstrates proof of concept and marks the start of larger-scale activity.
