oddly, though, the pog in the spot market already looks like its recovering from its early dump. though of course its still early. but there have been a couple articles out tonight (even in "thestreet.com" of all places) suggesting a "brief" rally.

Hi TJ, I think the 'powers' will try to push this for all it's worth. A 400 point higher Dow wouldn't surprise me at all. Snow will see an opportunity to kick the USD up a notch or two and might enlist some of the usual suspects to lend a hand in an effort to calm our .... ahem ...trading partners who are doubtlessly choking on the massive amounts of eroding value US denominated paper they have in their coffers.

Wasn't it the Street (Cramer) who got so bearish (wrongfully) on the gold scene when Barrick announced the end to their hedging practices? If so, I see no reason to attach any particular significance to anything they say w/r to gold or for that mattter, any of the markets.....

I know many here think the Street.com is a 'right on' site, but to me, they're only a couple of places behind CNBC for aiding and abetting the transfer of mucho monies from America's populace to the crooks of Wall Street.
