Color and Sirius--A better idea might be to find their watering hole. Follow them as they exit say on a Friday to the local watering hole. This has been a favorite method of mine when job hunting.

A little spirits used as a social lubricant will give valuable insight as to what is really going on. Are the employees happy with the company?? Do RP and the boys buy drinks for everyone or do they seperate themselves from the underlings?? Are they talking about inside dealings?? Maybe buy a a couple of rounds of annomyous** shots of your choice sent to their table to help the process along. Might be an interesting way to find out the inside gossip...
