iPod shortages:

At our Micro Center store, we're out of 10- and 20-giggers. One woman bought 2 20s last night, another couple came in this morning and made off with the last 6 20s. Verrrrrry hot item.

Haven't had 10s since I returned last weekend. No word if resupplies coming on Tuesday's truck.

All out of 17-inch iMacs, too.

Same old supply constraints as in '99-'01, maybe even worse since Apple stores opened.

Nevertheless, overall store receipts up 40% over same period last year.
