If people are in this stock for long term, why are we so worried about the increased A/S and pps in the short run?

Are people angry because the Company did it without consulting/informing the shareholders?

If not, what are the immediate consequences?

I have a hard time figuring out the dissatisfaction and dismay expressed here?

Can someone enligten me, please..
