Here would be my thinking on the matter. To have an official shareholders meeting would involve a lot of legal procedures.
For example with your other holdings when there is a shareholders meeting you have a little package/kit in the mail and with it comes a proxy etc if there is a vote taking place.
Well this telephone call is not an official shareholders meeting. It is an informal call between management and a few shareholders.
From a legal point of view it would be two completely different entities.
I am not sure what your question was in your email to them, but if you asked if they where holding a shareholders meeting they would say "NO".. and would legally be saying the correct thing.
If you had said, is Ken Lamb having an informal talk with a few shareholders on thursday night depending on who is answering your email, that person might say either, "I do not know", or "yes he is".. or "no he is not"..
