There's a really good book called "The Good Heart". The basis of the book is a conference between Christians and Budists (especially the Dalai Lama) where they peacefully and respectfully try to understand their differences and find common ground where it exists... and most importantly, through understanding, to have compassion for others beliefs.

That the Muslim faith is growing in America is not horrifying if you understand their faith.... IMO.
