in my opinion.... the manipulation you are hoping for and speaking of is NOT market makers so to speak... it is the people gambling/oops/investing through the market makers to take the pps to where THEY want it to go.... the market makers are doing only the bidding so to speak as the buyers and sellers are asking... the only dog they have in this fight or any fight is to get the trade done as quickly as possible for their fee, nothing more nothing less in my opinion...
