ABUJA - Umaru Yar'Adua of the ruling People's Democratic Party has won Nigeria's presidential election, the electoral commission chief said on Monday.
The governor of Katsina state scored 24,638,063 votes, versus 6,605,299 for his nearest rival, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Nigeria People's Party, said Maurice Iwu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
