Wing,

I can only address this issue from a futures trader perspective. I will concede that the world of "pink" is something I know very little about.

As far as futures and options on futures there are several platforms to choose from. The market leader right now is a firm called Trading Technologies. I do not believe that TT, as it is referred to, has a stock platform to trade stocks. It is not connected to the NYSE or NASD. So right there Spooz has a tremendous advantage over TT in its base application. TT is limited to futures exchanges. So lets just compare what Spooz and TT does with futures .

TT allows you to trade futures and options, allows you to set up spreads between the two and have the software execute trades automatically. Spooz does that and offers templates that are essentially program strings that you define that execute trades automatically. Essentially Spooz allows for more complex if/then models to trade. But there is so much more. The brilliant feature I saw demonstrated was the ability to construct a product from existing products to produce a bid/offer spread. I am not the best person to describe this functionality but to simplify it would be like this. Take ten year note futures, add a put/call spread function, and maybe
some five year options spreads. That will produce a live market bid/offer spread with some depth. String some if/then senarios; say a 200 day moving average or whatever you think works and Spooz will do the rest. TT has no similar functionality even in its new version.

But there is way more. Because Spooz runs in Excel, you will customize the screen. TT graphic interface while somewhat manipulative is nowhere like Excel in its infinite possibilities. And it’s not just changing colors or sound or the minor stuff but the whole gamut of possibilities. I have friends who use TT, which by the way cost over $700 a month, and there screen is filled with useless features that they cannot get rid of thereby clogging screen space. Screen space is a key commodity in electronic trading and the ability to manipulate it exactly they way you want should not be underestimated.

Like I said I only saw a limited view, only about a couple of hour’s demo, but I amazed at the possibilities for less money that the front end I am using now. My front end offers nothing similar to what Spooz does. Let me state that I do not use Trading Technologies software but a rival, which has similar functionality to TT for about $500 a month.

I will clearly state that in describing what I saw I am not being very articulate. Surely when the time comes there will be people able to describe what Spooz features far better than I am doing here. But for me, as a futures trader, I can't wait to get my hands on this product and start trading with it.

Just a guy with an opinion. Leave your campsite better than you found it. Don't peel the birch bark off the birch tree.
