I learned about gold, silver, diamonds, coins and jewelry around 1980 when the markey went nuts.
I do not agree with the posted prices on the diamonds. In fact, I have a ring appraised by USGL for $7000+ with an 3.82 carat aquamarine and .18 carats of diamonds that I would do back flips over if someone offered me 1/2.
Wholesale is pure BS if it is published. In my opinion no one publishes the true wholesale prices because they are too low. In this industry there is a phenomenal mark-up. This is especially true of big name jewelers.
The bottom line is DUE YOUR DUE AND BE CAREFUL.
The above is my own opinion, I do have the USGL GEM CARD FOR PROOF.
