That certainly is not an easy post to answer! Difficult to the Extreme at best!

I believe that that scenario has happened in many places.

How many Law Abiding citizens of the U.S.A. or Canada even KNOWS for certain what an Authentic Police Officer’s Identification looks like?

I just emailed the basic questions to a former acquaintance who is a Police Officer. I’ll post his response here when I receive it.

In the time taken to composing this response, I would agree with Poppa John’s opinion of calling 911, if carrying a cell phone.

Sticking my neck wayyyy out here, If distrusting the “Officer’s” credentials and vehicle, and not in possession of a cell phone, and with no Police “backup” in sight or en route, I would be inclined to *very prudently* drive to the nearest Police Station (with my vehicle’s hazard lights flashing) to seek assistance.

Just my WAG.
Anyone else care to offer another opinion?
