Pac-10, where USC plays, was like the conference from Hell this year...Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, CAL,Stanford, they all went to a Bowl this year...
In fact, CAL beat USC in a fantastic overtime game which I had the good fortune to see in person...And, USC was number 3 in the Nation at the time...
The fact that USC survived the PAC-10, and mauled the rest of the teams they played, is a testament to a good program which should have been given a chance at the National Title...
But then, we all know that the bean counters decide who is going to play in these games based on the "MARKETING FACTORS" and not the skill the kids bring to the table...OKLAHOMA means
big bucks for TV, so they play even though they lost their last game by a score of, what was it?, 35-4???...
