I heard Dave Stoner once in an interview about the company. One of the questions was: "How do you deal with the people who copycat your technology and try to become your competition?"
An interesting question.
Stoner replied: "While they may copy our products, they do not have the research and development that we have.
So, by the time that they've figured out what we were doing and copy us, we already have the next model out, leaving them in our wake."

Or words to that effect.
I believe that the last two PRs show us that they continue to make better, improved products, keeping them ahead of the others.
Keep in mind- all of their products are always up to date with the latest technology changes by the giants - Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, etc. Their technology is embedded in Microsoft and RealPlayer, and they have just signed a deal with Cisco.
These guys are not "wannabe's" - they're the real thing.
