For whatever reason, they are not ready to let this stock move up right now. The wide spread discourages buying, leading to low volume, which discourages the impatient. They try to get selling at the bid so they can walk this down. So far, people are holding and waiting.

The mirror trading is to make sure the last trade is never at the ask. That would give people hope, which the MMs don't want us to have just now.

We wait until they are ready or the company issues a solid PR that spurs buying despite the spread.
