Another thing that stood out

was this: "This truly is the engineer's "Holy Grail." And this little company owns the patents and manufacturing process that's going to make them, and us, rich."

I guess I had never noticed it before, but the words manufacturing process jumped off the page at me, especially the subtle notation that we "own" the process (which is patented). Cool!
