Of course you are right when you stated:

So who cares if Q1 ended on March 31st? The SunnComm team is talking about news already pertinent to the first quarter.

We should see whether or not that was just more BS from Jacobs on Monday when MMXT files their 10k. It will be listed in the 10k under "subsequent events" which covers any material event for the first quarter.
