I may sound like an idiot but you cannot compare Don Imus to these assholes.

As I said, he can be arrogant and thoughtless, especially in his humor (go back and review his address at the correspondents dinner) but he can also be a gentleman, which the others can't.

The list of people who appear on his show does not speak so much to his popularity, but more to the fact that while he may play a schmuck on TV (and well too) he's also possessed of an intellectual curiosity which most Americans lack. He could have done a better job of elevating the discourse... but he was not a complete heel.

I'm sorry to see him go out like that. That's all I said.
