Re: True, but a lot of brands don't do much more than rebadge the reference design. I don't know exactly how this works business wise, but if they buy unbranded cards directly from Nvidia there might still be profit in it.

You typically design reference cards for free to enable your customers as a differentiator from the competition. You don't charge your customers to use the reference design.
