Since Microsoft's success in marginalizing Apple's Original OS with Windows the vast majority of people under estimate that APPLE can break beyond their die-hard niche. They have come to this conclusion because time and again Apple has created new markets which they then lose to competitors because their prices are usually too high for Joe six-pack.

Examples: The Newton, The iPod

What should Apple do ?

The G5 technology should be pushed into a consumer product ASAP to grab a larger share of the consumer market.

Establish a new lowend line of PC's which would run Windows applications priced to sell to the masses for under $600.00 per unit.

The Current G5's Towers should all be duals and quads and marketed as High End Workstations and servers.

Sell a low end iPod to the masses !!!
