regardless of the facts at this point, once the lawsuit is filed this situation will get interesting. it's clear that briner is a disastrous criminal. if ricky is totally clean, then it should be off-to-the-races for the PPS and huzzah for us. if ricky is complicit or dirty in any way, then we might have some problems. in the former scenario, if the league continues on, ricky will be replaced and we should still get compensated. i doubt hull, unger and co. would be in on it too. however, if the league folds, someone will still be paying a ton of penalties, remuneration etc. (as a result of all the funny stuff), which should go back to the shareholders anyway, since we're the real screwees. what bothers me most about the dirty ricky scenario is: why would he so vociferously pursue a lawsuit, which forces the court and the public to look into his actions and (dirty) dealings? why wouldn't he just bounce? it doesn't make sense. dirty players don't usually run to the courts (while yelling!) when they get screwed. it's too risky.

If it's not my opinion, whose is it?
