Two weeks ago I was was concerned whether I had all my dive gear. One week ago I was concerned about getting back to the US. Earlier today I was concerned about what stocks I could buy Monday.
Last week, I was upset about not being allowed back in the US while others would never see there families again.
Last week I refused to short stocks but today was strategizing my next purchase which was was equally as evil.
Last week I complained about having to travel through El Salvador and alterring my plans to get home and others were hoping their loved ones could get back.
Tonight I bitched about the Cuban cigars I left in El Salvador and yet I bought more cigars here without thought.
Tonight I watched the Tribute To Heroes show and then I realized how selfish I had become. I spent $20 on beer. $30 on cigars. I sat around figuring how to make money in this market while others tried to figure how to pay rent.
There were people who could not pay their bills. There were people who would never see their family again. There were people who lost their life savings in the market.
I urge all of you to think about what has happened. www.tributetoheroes.org is a place you can do good. Maybe its just beer money and maybe its play money in the market but I guarantee there are people who need it more than we do. Even if you don't have cash they take credit which we can afford more than most. $1 is still better than nothing. Help those who really need it.
