NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - A man fatally shot himself at a blackjack table inside the Seneca Niagara Casino on Thursday.
The man, whose identity was not immediately released, walked onto the gaming floor at about 10:30 a.m., pointed a gun at his chest and pulled the trigger, casino spokesman Philip Pantano said.
He died soon after at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Guns are prohibited inside the casino but the facility does not check visitors.
"Entering the casino is not unlike entering a mall or shopping plaza," Pantano said. "This is an open facility."
Last June, a man jumped to his death from the fifth floor of the casino parking ramp, Pantano said.
