My biggest strike against the current management is that they did not take enough heed of what Intel was doing with their product models.

In essence, AMD did an Intel. They became complacent and arrogant in the belief in their own superiority. Just like Intel did. Intel had the money and infrastructure to react when they finally figured out what was happening to them. That was Banias which led to Dothan, Yonah and C2D. These will become Penryn, Nehalem etc.

AMD is broke and out of options to raise money. Their process technology is floundering, their products are late and disappointing. The creditors will soon be gathering at the gates like a scene out of an old Frankenstein move with a village mob with pitchforks and rakes demanding Hector's head.
