There were many things I liked about spooz over what I am using and other platforms that are available.
First is Excel. Excel is familiar and easy to customize. My current platform is not anywhere near as flexable. That means I am able to customize the products I trade on my screen they way I want and can change it anytime.
Second, data. Spooz incorporates data from all the exchanges for free. Thats something I, and everyone else pays well over $100 a month for. And since its in excel, you can customize how it is presented.
Third, you can synthetically create products with a bid/offer spread that do not exist. I am not good at explaining this but what it means is that there are hundreds of new, tradable products that you can create with realtime, true market depth.
Fourth, the templates. I have limited exposure to black box trading but spooz makes it available to anyone. What was once only in the realm of hedge funds and Goldman Sachs' is now avaiable to everyone.
Fifth, price. Its cheaper than the inferior product I am using now.
I only saw it demonstrated once, for only about an hour and a half so there is probably much more to say.
Just my two cents.
Just a guy with an opinion. Leave your campsite better than you found it. Don't peel the birch bark off the birch tree.
