I use Scottrade also, but I just opened an account with Just2Trade.com - they only charge $2.50 per trade regardless of price or # of shares.

I placed an order with them this morning and mine took a couple of minutes also.

I haven't used this new account enough yet to know if I am going to keep it or not. - I like the price, just not used to trading with it yet.
