That's a shared memory system, it doesn't have the NUMA capabilities of Opteron - which was my whole point.

To get a high end system that is NUMA capable, costs about 10 times as much if it's Itanium or Xeon as it does if it's Opteron.

The more elegant Opteron design will be more reliable, as well.
