With the brokers & MM's ability to shift the Shorts/Naked Shorts/Counterfeit Shares amoungst each other to avoid the 13 day settlement period, etc., I am skeptical as to the accuracy of any of these sites that give a company's shorted share figure.
I read about somebody developing software last year thats supposed to accurately track NSS, but I'm skeptical about that too.
I still say that this Share Counterfeiting or Selling of shares that don't exist, can be STOPPED in it's tracks just by making it law that "NO MONIES PAID UNTIL SHARES ARE DELIVERED!" That includes commissions, fees, etc.
