Land for peace- look at how well that has goen in the gaza and west bank
Israel withdrew from the Gaza strip, and immediately set about isolating the area and starving the civilian population to death. Meanwhile they kept up ruthless attacks on "terrorists" using helicopter gunships to target them in civilian occupied buildings and on crowded streets.
What were they expecting to happen? What were they hoping would happen? Either way the population was slated for extermination in the short run or the long.
They may as well have written "Arbeit Macht Frei" on the gate.
You could stand to get your head out of your ass. Israel's plan is to have what's left of the Palestinian population on a few little reservations as soon as possible.
