I am based in Singapore. Recently, an article appeared in the newspapers here about a Fund proposing to buy a parcel of land downtown in Singapore. The Fund claims that they have a board of directors comprising several well known business personalities. The article also stated that when contacted, those business personalities did not know that they ... get this.... were being considered for the board on this Fund!

I had been wondering even before this article appeared if the proposed members of the board for PLRO had in fact agreed to sit on the board. I have not found anything on the Internet to suggest that they have agreed to sit on the board if voted in.

My question is, how confident are you that the illustrious personalities have indeed agreed to sit on the board if voted in?
