And congratulations. Glad that's over for you. Hope it never happens again.

Lawns around here are still quite green although not growing like they did. Every time that hits me, I think of your description of fall in Houston. Our leaves are gone with the exception of the Norwegian maples and a few stubborn oaks. I plan on the last yard clean this weekend.

Any Thanksgiving plans? I'll be having dinner with my sister... she's cooking. Folks went down to VA to spend the time with my sister and her family... she's the good daughter... got married... had children. Not sure what younger brother is doing... something with his wife's family no doubt.

Sister and I always have a good time. I enjoy my family best when I am one on one with them... when we're all together, I go into overload. I am lucky I am able to live alone.

So for that I am thankful as well as my health and employment
and...
MY FIREWOOD!

Laid in another cord this weekend that should be burnable by next year. I am fully stocked right now. This was the heaviest load I've moved to date. My imaginative theory is that it was due to the glut of rain fall we experienced this summer. I had to carry the bigger logs one at a time using both arms. Usually I can stack at least three on my left arm and carry one in my right hand. Exhausting but rewarding.
