Oh, and BTW, no dear, I'd never get another Dalmation. While they look absolutely gorgeous, they are head-strong, runners. They're roots go back to being (bet you'll never guess) Gypsy dogs from the Balkan area, Dalmatia.

I can imagine why you saw my initial affinity for them. The Gypsies, by nature, were migratory, or others might say, constantly on the run. The Dalmations were later adapted as coach dogs to run along side coaches doing what they do best...looking good. I'm sure you can then see how their later adaption by fire departments whose original armament was coach oriented came to pass.

D'Bear - Geez, you're still hiding behind your dog. Well, I guess you're lucky. A Retriever is far easier to hide behind than say a Shih Tzu or a Pug. <G>

As for your GJ costume...ACCCKKKK!!!!!! That's got to be the scariest Holloween costume I've heard of yet. Hope I NEVER see one.

Frankly, his persona reminded me a little bit of the character that Christopher Walken played on Saturday Night Live, though infinitely more dangerous. Do you remember him..."Welcome my leetle dove, would you like sume cham pag na?" LOL
