Why would the TA lie?

he told me the exact figure and the difference between the closing O/S on 3/22/07 and 1/1/07.

I know a few other pinks I follow where the TA will give the info over the phone, some will do it via E-mail but not phone.

I would much rather deal with a company whose TA does give the info than one that is told by the company not to...I wonder why any company would gag their TA...hmmm.
