The economy can with stand this one attack but cannot withstand threats of future retaliation, which need to be uncovered. Osama is not important, the nature of investigation so far to me has revealed a kind of pattern of planned moles. For all practical purposes much as we all would hate it, it is turning out to be a homegrown job, the entire dry runs were made on US territory, the training and planning all of it, that
would make the role of home intelligence important and debate of civil liberties will be a central ISSUE. A complete view and important audit of US domestic vulnerabilities is a must before an external action.
Please don't ignore the 'home grown nature' of this attack, nearly all these human bombs were planted as moles, they were first indoctrinated than sent over to learn flying and rest was what we saw. These human indoctrinated bombs may be few but I have a bad feeling that more are lying dormant within us.
US needs vigilance, the reason US was not able to pick on anything on this attack was that communications were dead on this issue between the suicide groups in the US. US have a good ability to pick the communication instructions from Afghanistan but all that was silent the activity was near to none but it was physical human contact and domestic enemy within that planned this huge crime. The dictation was coming from within. Probably it was through these physical contacts that and all this planning went undetected between the guy in Afghanistan and his implants, the role of intermediaries who were contacts with the planted cells needs to uncovered.
The mind was working but the cell had greater movement of freedom and was connected to the mastermind through people who may have traveled from Afghanistan to these suicide cells. The whole thing is to know how many such more cells exist, external retaliation attack means nothing if the sleeping cells can retaliate immediately with force, one task has to be that these cells need to be eliminated, for that the entire US has to be on guard and watch their neighborhood for suspicious activities and report these characters to authorities. I am rather surprised that homegrown nature of this huge tragedy is being ignored and we are talking about one man and his elimination, his elimination would mean a lot but many such will be created it has to a planned elimination of the human bomb class and that requires funding on a size that is huge and close monitoring by FBI with closest links to underworld of the Islamists in the ME. Even penetration of that over a period of 10-15 years, a long term planning is required to reduce the threat for mankind, we need to penetrate in them as they have in us as normal human beings.
Osama may be a figurehead but we have to trace the others who are embedded within us as normal functioning people. One man with 9 years for him to plant many moles like 12-16 we saw on a kamikaze mission just two days ago. It is for authorities to find and eliminate the enemy within that is most important. These guys did not learn flying outside they did it here in US and that was one of the reason we had initial suspicions of a home job. Now how many more moles are hidden, these are independent cells and may have no connection, I am sure that once retaliation comes these cells which are lying dormant will plan something big, for me I would like a complete audit of all suspicious arrivals over last few years, trace them and watch them, the 225 m Americans has to be on guard! Period neighborhoods watch if young people are lying dormant with no jobs and someone is paying for them, the kind of very nice polite hounds that rented the South Florida properties, just watch them hard, look around you, yes it sounds strange but cleaning within is as important as cleaning outside.
