If you are an insider, I can understand your position but you shouldn't have written anything about it to begin with. If you are not an insider, then I cannot think of anyway that anything you publish on a chat thread could adversely affect the company (certain personal things about management aside). What I think irks us is that you come out and say that you have a good idea that you know what is going on but you can't say for national security reasons or whatever.
I, myself, know who will win the 2007 World Series of Baseball. However, since I have some bookie friends in Vegas and I don't want to upset their business, I won't reveal the winner until after game 6 of the World Series. Oops, did I say game 6? Never mind.
