The Vision

This is a list below of what I felt God has put upon our hearts in order to serve him. I'm sure as time goes on many other needs will be revealed. And I hope you will play a part in that!

1. The unsaved is priority number one. We would like to team up with 2 to 3 churches who share the same basic truths. One of the ways to meet the needs of the loss is to have a Wednesday night service in our lodge. A place for people to come who feel very uncomfortable stepping inside a church.

A place for them to come to fill the void in their lives. To discover the wonderful gift of salvation.

We can avoid burnout by sharing resources. By using different worship bands. Different speakers. Different helpers. Burnout with lack of training in churches is the number one cause of no growth in my opinion.

Our goal here is to monitor that carefully. Maybe start with a service every two weeks. This would eventually send more people to the churches involved as they come to know Jesus. This would also help churches in the area to work together and combine their resources. I see to many churches today who say we are all brothers and sisters in the Lord. Yet somehow that theory stops somewhere in the process of working together for the common goal to save the lost. What are churches afraid of? Losing members to other churches? We need to stop putting walls up around our churches. We need to tear them down and work together and share our resources!

If we find that the churches in the area don't want to participate in this then we will ask God to help us pull it off some way anyhow. And we believe once people start to go to the churches in the area the churches will find out how they came to their door and then want to help. I feel very strongly there is a segment of society out there that won't ever step inside a regular church door for whatever reason. And unfortunately a lot of our churches have given people a lot of reasons to feel that way. So now that the damage has been done it is time to repair it and grow our churches up again.

2. We plan to have community events to attract the lost. These events include music. I feel music is an event that will attrack people more then anything else. A stage in the lodge for winter music specials and a stage outside for summer events. Fishing derbies to attract all ages with our lake. Of course along with the music many other activities like games for the kids. Sports contests for all ages.

3. We also see other needs out there. Like kids who never go to camp because their parents can't afford it. What a perfect way to get kids into a Christian setting. Normally the parents would say no to going to a Christian camp. Knowing what their kids would be taught if they were paying full price for it they'd never let them come. So we will subsidize it. I've never seen anywhere in the Bible where it says we can't use economic factors in order to spread the word of God! We are hoping to have the parents come on the last day to have an opportunity to share with them what their kids have been taught. The cost of the kids coming will vary on each situation according to the parents ability to pay. If they can't pay anything so be it. We are counting on God to provide the funds to serve his kingdom. We refuse to put God in a box. He provides for the birds of the air so he will certainly provide for his children to be taught the gospel!

4. We would like to help out organizations like the Burn Foundation. Kids with scars love to go to a camp where all the kids have scars. There they can be at ease knowing no one is staring at them. Same with kids with disabilities. The Easter Seals has camps in place already. But they can always need help. Terminally ill kids are another group who we feel we can help. Not only the kids but can you imagine the parents?
They need a break also. Here they are in a situation where death is so real and close to them. We feel they will be open to the gospel message just as much as their kids. There are many other organizations also with needs we feel we can help.
