Alea - re: wireless bandwidth -- 802.11n has been blasting out @ 9 MB/sec in reviews - shouldn't be a problem. Formatting issues not too big an issue, but the initial iteration of the Apple TV product doesn't directly support Video_TS file playback, so I'll continue using my Mac Mini for (converted for HDD storage) DVD file playback through the existing Front Row software that's been standard on the Intel Macs, and uses the same 6-button, gum-stick size remote as the Apple TV.

Thanks for the thoughts on the Nand Flash vs. HDD concern, and I agree that the industry-wide shift will take considerably longer than 2 years.
