There is no S/L on investigations. Practicaly, however, the S/L on the underlying "crime" being investigated will generally dictate the length of the investigation. Once an indictement comes in on a company or an individual, then I believe the Federal Rules time limits on prosecution. I know there are some seasoned lawyers on this board who could comment further.
