XeTel is an EMS (electronics manufacturing services) company, often referred to in the trade as a contract assembler. We build printed circuit boards and we also build systems that these cards fit into. XeTel is an 18-year-old company, founded in 1984. We started as a specialty company for building surface-mount cards ' which was a fairly new technology in 1984. We started as a privately funded company and went public in 1996, 12 years after we were founded. We have grown, from that start 18 years ago to close to $200 million at the end of the prior year (FY01), our best year. Unfortunately, this year (FY02) has not been quite as good with the turn in the economy. We've suffered with that down turn, just like everybody else
The President and CEO of the company is Angelo DeCaro. Ange has been with us since October of 1993. Prior to XeTel he was the manager of the IBM Board Fabrication Facility in Austin, TX, and the manager of IBM's main frame manufacturing. Ange's background has provided a great influence for XeTel's operations. Bill Peten is the Senior Vice President of Materials. Material is a big portion of the revenue for our industry. Bill Peten came to XeTel from IBM with Ange. Greg Wilemon is SRVP and CFO and has been with us about one month. Prior to XeTel, Greg was CFO and COO of Tufco Technologies, a NASDAQ NM listed company. I think Greg is going to be a very good fit for XeTel
