I talked to my rep at scottrade last week he told me that all buys now require a phone call to there office and of course that costs you more money... I am still able to Buy at TDameritrade on line.
I would assume that Scotttrade has a short position in the stock and TDameritrade doesn't but I have no way to verify !
I always prefer to use scottrade because TDameritrade has a lot of BS fees... But, Tdameritrade has a reorg. dept and scottrade doesn't.
