Saint Andrew, what I find incredible is Kaywa's seemless scanning ability. Similar to ScanZoom, you merely hold it in close proximity to a 2-D DataMatrix or QR barcode and it automatically links to the URL with a sound effect that sounds like chains rattling. Its very cool. However, the draw back is that it scans whatever is in front of it. If there is more than one code, it will automatically pick up the 1st random code it senses. Qode allows you to aim the green cross hairs and click. I personally prefer qode, as it its a more selective process when deciphering a series of barcodes in one setting. Also, as Streets has pointed out, it has the 3-in-1 functionality, plus is written in 6 different languages with more in the works (13 total at present), is code agnostic, permission based, demographic based and will route you to the nearest location base service (LBS). In other words, if I enter burger, and if Burger King holds the KeyWord, qode will automatically bring me to BK's website with a link to the nearest BK loaction, all due to where my cell phone is recieveing/transmitting from. Cool, huh? Can't wait to see what the next version of qode, aka the Universal Reader has in store for us...know wonder why HP and the MC2 initiative endorse NeoMedia.
