Here is the SEC filing deadlines - go to the non-accelerated filers section, near the bottom, and you will see that because of the weekend, April 2 is the filing deadline for BANY...

http://www.secfile.net/SEC_calendar.htm

They also are allowed to file for automatic extension of the deadline by 15 days for 10K - yearly filings and 7 days for quarterly- 10Q filings.

So most Nasdaq and NYSE companies go ahead and report earnings via PR in the first 2 or 3 weeks after the end of the year, then file the 10K later, but usually well ahead of the deadline.

Many OTCBB companies wait til the end of the deadline, for various reasons.

And other companies have Fiscal Years that don't end Dec 31st, so they have to file 10Q before the 90 day period that is required for 10K filers.

Why do they give em more time for 10K's than 10Q's? 10Q's are usually unaudited financials, where 10K's have to be audited and certified financials for the whole year. They can run into problems when they do the yearly audit sometimes.

Finally, yes, if BANY has the financials to back the sales of those machines and the TESTING BUSINESS and the CHIROPRACTIC BUSINESS have been holding up or growing, then we all may be very happy with the AUDITED FINANCIALS they publish. Also, we will get all the share structure and debt and financing info that we want to see. If BANY has about finished with the convertibles or restructured them, the stock may run huge like ETIM.
