live and learn. get burned. find out why and work at perfecting one's "game"/timing and so on. i like stocks with a large potential for return in a reasonable time frame. stocks that appear to be severely shorted are my favorite situations to figure out. not all pass the test certainly. though some do...then, it becomes a question of timing and patience. many times the stocks that come out of heavy shorting and downward stock pressure for whatever reason...tend to be the biggest long gainers by far. ATI is one of the best examples i know of. if, you know of a better one please let me know (Bre-X does not count).

ps. i still want to change them/the markets/the system and so on. there are much better ways. maybe another day for this subject. if, there weren't massive shorting...i'd still be looking for the best possible buying op.
