I think it was a 1.6GHz Banias with PC2100 vs a 1.6GHz TBred, or something similar. At any rate, the Banias outperformed by roughly 30%. Add PC2700 and a 1.8GHz Dothan CPU, and that's another 20-25% right there. A 1.8GHz Athlon 64 would be hard pressed to keep up. A 2.0GHz Athlon 64 might have an edge, but without benchmarks, It's not easy to speculate how the comparison would stack up.
