I had that type of a loss in 1999-2000 when I invested in QBID and HTVN and watched it fall to nothing. It put me out of the pinky market with any real money until 2005. I would only invest a couple hundred bucks here or there for entertainment. All the gurus disappeared on me too. I know the feeling well.
I try to take some off the table when I am up. It has been the only saving grace to these investments. Even now, I can rank my odds of success.
These are the odds, from what I know, of the chance that the companies I own large positions in will follow through, not dilute for stupid reasons, grow, audit, and uplist.
LBWR: 97%
NWOG: 78%
AURC: 60%
Most would consider those lousy odds. They are. Looking from the other side. On AURC, I think there is a 40% chance I will be wiped out. I only think there is a 3% chance of being wiped out in LBWR. It is just my opinion on what information I have collected and feel comfortable with. The other part is the reward for those investments and a total score of risk/reward.
I am not a guru and I only try to do the best I can. I hope you have good success and make up those losses.
